Himalayan Salt Brick Fine Cut (8x4x1) inch (Pack of 2)

You can sear on a Himalayan salt block, chill it for cold plates, or backlight it as a glowing panel. This pack holds two food-grade bricks, each hand-cut to roughly 8 x 4 x 2 cm and sanded flat on every face, carved from Khewra halite in Punjab, Pakistan.

Size and fit

• Two food-grade pink halite bricks, about 8 x 4 x 2 cm apiece
• Takes high heat for searing or a spell in the fridge for cold serving
• Naturally antimicrobial, so a wipe replaces washing-up liquid
• Backlights to a deep amber for a bar or feature-wall detail

To temper a brick, sit it on the lowest hob setting and step the heat up gradually every 15 minutes or so; a sudden jump in temperature is what cracks salt, so patience pays. Once it's hot, sear prawns, thin steak, fish or vegetables straight on the surface for a mineral seasoning you can't get another way. Or chill the bricks and use them cold under charcuterie, sushi and cheese. Let a used block cool fully, then scrape and wipe with a damp sponge, no soap and no soaking, and dry it right through. Faint surface cracks after heating are normal. Add it to your basket.

Returns

Every lamp is hand-carved from natural rock salt, so variation in colour, shape, weight and surface texture is normal and is not a fault.

Arrived damaged or incorrect? Email us within 48 hours with your order number and a photo. We will replace it or refund you in full, and you will not pay return postage.

Changed your mind? You are welcome to unpack it and check it works first. You then have 30 days from delivery to tell us, and 14 days after that to post it back. Refunds go to your original payment method and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.
