Flower wood Basket

The carved flower panels are the trick with this flower wood basket salt lamp. Cut-out floral shapes in the wooden walls throw patterned light across your walls and ceiling once it's lit, so a basket of glowing salt rocks turns into a small decorative light show.

Inside sit loose pink Khewra halite rocks, dug in Punjab, Pakistan, the source behind every genuine salt lamp, held behind hand-carved floral openwork. Each panel is cut by hand, so the exact flower pattern and the wood tone differ from one basket to the next.

The projection reads best in a dim room in the evening, when the floral shadows land clearly on nearby surfaces. Buyers often ask how far the pattern throws; sit it within a foot or two of a wall and the flowers show crisply, further out and they soften into a gentle wash. It's a genuine centrepiece for a dining table or mantel in a room of about 10 to 15 square metres, not just background lighting.

Because the salt rocks sit loose, their open faces can bead slightly in a damp room. Salt pulls moisture from the air, so leave the lamp on to keep it dry and dust the carved wood gently with a soft dry brush, working into the cut-outs.

Returns

Every lamp is hand-carved from natural rock salt, so variation in colour, shape, weight and surface texture is normal and is not a fault.

Arrived damaged or incorrect? Email us within 48 hours with your order number and a photo. We will replace it or refund you in full, and you will not pay return postage.

Changed your mind? You are welcome to unpack it and check it works first. You then have 30 days from delivery to tell us, and 14 days after that to post it back. Refunds go to your original payment method and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.
