Drum Wood Basket

Set this drum wood basket salt lamp on a shelf and the cylindrical drum shape reads far more contemporary than a rounded bowl, while the salt inside does the same warm job. If a bowl basket felt too rustic for your room, the straight-sided drum is the fix.

Loose pink Khewra halite pieces sit inside a drum hand-crafted from neem or sheesham wood. Sheesham is a dense hardwood with a dark reddish-brown grain; neem runs lighter with a fine, even texture, so each basket carries its own wood tone and the pieces inside vary in size and shade.

It lands well in structured, modern interiors, for people who want the wood-and-salt look without the organic curve of a bowl or cage. At that size it suits a bookshelf, a media unit or a hallway console in a room of roughly 10 to 15 square metres. A common question is whether you can top up or swap the rocks; you can, since they sit loose and lift straight out.

The rocks sit loose, so their exposed edges can catch a little damp in a humid room. Salt takes up water from the air; keep the lamp lit to dry it and wipe the wood down with a dry cloth from time to time, following the grain.

Returns

Every lamp is hand-carved from natural rock salt, so variation in colour, shape, weight and surface texture is normal and is not a fault.

Arrived damaged or incorrect? Email us within 48 hours with your order number and a photo. We will replace it or refund you in full, and you will not pay return postage.

Changed your mind? You are welcome to unpack it and check it works first. You then have 30 days from delivery to tell us, and 14 days after that to post it back. Refunds go to your original payment method and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.
