Cage Wood Basket Salt Lamp

The open slats are what set this cage basket salt lamp apart. Loose Khewra salt rocks glow inside a hand-crafted wooden cage, and the light escapes through both the crystal and the gaps in the woodwork, casting a pattern onto nearby walls that a solid lamp can't throw.

Those rocks are pink Khewra halite out of Punjab, Pakistan, caged in rosewood or neem, so each frame carries its own grain and colour. The slats are cut and joined by hand, which means the spacing and the shadow pattern differ a touch from one cage to the next.

It's a real talking point on a dining table or sideboard, where the slatted shadows become part of the room rather than plain background light. That compact size suits a smaller space of about 8 to 12 square metres. Buyers sometimes ask if the salt is visible through the slats; it is, the pink glow shows plainly between the woodwork and reads as the main feature.

Loose rocks expose more surface, so a humid room can leave a few beads on them. The salt is simply pulling water out of the air; leave it lit to clear that and dust the cage with a soft dry cloth, running along the slats.

Returns

Every lamp is hand-carved from natural rock salt, so variation in colour, shape, weight and surface texture is normal and is not a fault.

Arrived damaged or incorrect? Email us within 48 hours with your order number and a photo. We will replace it or refund you in full, and you will not pay return postage.

Changed your mind? You are welcome to unpack it and check it works first. You then have 30 days from delivery to tell us, and 14 days after that to post it back. Refunds go to your original payment method and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.
