Bowl Wood Basket

On a side table or an entryway shelf, this bowl wood basket salt lamp looks like it came from a high-end interiors shop rather than a homeware aisle. The rounded handwoven neem bowl holds loose Khewra salt rocks, and lit from below the glow scatters through the irregular crystal faces.

Neem is a dense, moisture-resistant hardwood with a fine grain and warm brown tone that sits easily alongside the pink of the salt. The chunks are pulled from Pakistan's Khewra mine, the origin of every real salt lamp, and since the bowl is woven by hand its exact curve and shade differ from one to the next.

It fits natural, organic and boho rooms especially well, sitting comfortably on a console, a dresser or a hall shelf in a space of about 10 to 15 square metres, and plenty of buyers who already own a carved lamp add this simply because it looks so different. A frequent question is whether the rocks can be rearranged; they can, they lift out freely so you can restack them for a fuller or looser glow.

The rocks sit loose, so in a damp room their exposed faces can bead slightly. Salt takes up moisture from the air; leave the lamp on to dry it and dust the basket with a dry cloth. Don't wet the neem, since the timber is untreated.

Returns

Every lamp is hand-carved from natural rock salt, so variation in colour, shape, weight and surface texture is normal and is not a fault.

Arrived damaged or incorrect? Email us within 48 hours with your order number and a photo. We will replace it or refund you in full, and you will not pay return postage.

Changed your mind? You are welcome to unpack it and check it works first. You then have 30 days from delivery to tell us, and 14 days after that to post it back. Refunds go to your original payment method and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.
