Himalayan Salt Lamp (9-12 kg)

On the floor or a wide surface, this giant Himalayan salt lamp at 9 to 12 kg stops being an accessory and becomes the anchor of the room. You give it a spot and let it hold the whole layout together, washing warm amber across open-plan living areas, studios and reception rooms of 25 square metres and up.

Skilled artisans shape it by hand from large-format Khewra pink halite in Punjab, Pakistan, part of a reserve estimated at 82 million tonnes of mineral salt still underground, and at this weight the natural colour shifts read boldly across the crystal face. Its E14 15W bulb glows near 1800 to 2200 K above a heavy timber base, wired through a braided flex to a UK three-pin plug. It stands roughly 35 to 42 cm tall, so plan for a low table or a clear stretch of floor rather than a shelf. This is less a lighting decision than an interior one, the sort of piece a room organises itself around. People buying at this size often wonder whether a single 15W bulb can light so much crystal; it isn't meant to floodlight the space but to glow from within, and that soft internal light is the point.

A big block of salt has plenty of surface to lift humidity from the air, so you may notice dampness here more readily than on a compact lamp. That isn't a fault; it's among the most reliable ways to confirm the halite is genuine Khewra salt and not a synthetic stand-in. Returns

Every lamp is hand-carved from natural rock salt, so variation in colour, shape, weight and surface texture is normal and is not a fault.

Arrived damaged or incorrect? Email us within 48 hours with your order number and a photo. We will replace it or refund you in full, and you will not pay return postage.

Changed your mind? You are welcome to unpack it and check it works first. You then have 30 days from delivery to tell us, and 14 days after that to post it back. Refunds go to your original payment method and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.
