Himalayan Coarse Salt - 1 Kg

If your mill keeps jamming on fine grains, Himalayan coarse salt is the grade you want. Each crystal runs about 2 to 5 mm, big enough to feed a grinder without clogging or to hold its crunch on a finished steak. The crystal is dug from the Khewra deposit in Punjab, Pakistan, washed and sun-dried with no additives of any kind.

• Coarse grain, roughly 2 to 5 mm per crystal, sized right for ceramic mills
• Close to 95 to 98 percent NaCl, the remainder natural trace minerals
• Keeps its shape as a finishing salt over steak, fish and roasted veg
• Suits brining, pickling and salt-crust cooking as well
• Choose from 1 kg, 2 kg, 3 kg or 4 kg

This is the grain to reach for when you want visible texture and a slower release across the tongue, and it's the right size for refilling a mill, since fine salt simply gums up the mechanism. Store it sealed away from a steamy kitchen, or the surface crystals soften and stick. Add one to your basket.

Returns

Every lamp is hand-carved from natural rock salt, so variation in colour, shape, weight and surface texture is normal and is not a fault.

Arrived damaged or incorrect? Email us within 48 hours with your order number and a photo. We will replace it or refund you in full, and you will not pay return postage.

Changed your mind? You are welcome to unpack it and check it works first. You then have 30 days from delivery to tell us, and 14 days after that to post it back. Refunds go to your original payment method and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.
